It's been so long...time for an update!
Fall has just about passed, and has us all wishing it would stay just a little longer! With this time of year things tend to get a little busier and in my home, more magical! I havent posted for a while but here are a few things that have been taking place in my chair.
The Homecoming dances, weddings and a Bridal Show brought some fun updo's and makeup application in my chair.
Also We have a subtle melt for a naturally lighter blonde, a not so subtle but beautiful red. This fall has been fun, instead of everyone coming in wanting the drastic change from summer blonde to fall brown, we have kept clients' color where they feel most confident just adding some change, such as adding gold's and beige into those bright blonde clients. No need for a whole color change just a slight change to update the style!

Summer Isn't Over
I know we are all getting ready to head back to school whether its ourselves or those kids surrounding each of us but this doesn't mean summer is over. Now is the best time for the effortless beach-wave look thats quick for busy schedules and limited mirror time.
I took the recipe from Free People's blog http://blog.freepeople.com/2012/08/sea-salt-spray-hair/ (a must visit for unique and fun DIY projects as well as excellent style).
I made a twist according to what I had on hand, I substituted coconut oil for olive oil, what i had on hand. I think it turned out perfect, also my sister tried peppermint oil which gave the spray an amazing smell!
How to apply:
1. Wash hair
2. Towel dry or lightly blow dry, you want your hair to still be damp
3. Spray away, don't be afraid to use too much but also even just a little can do the trick depending on hair texture.
FYI: Also to be used on dry hair just to add a bit of wave, I even use it before pulling it up in a messy bun. Add a scarf (as in the photo above) and you've got a stylish-do that is effortless
